Questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. Every feature described on this site is free, with no entry limit, no card on file and no trial that quietly ends. There is no paid tier to upsell you to.
- What is the catch?
- There is not one. Crawlink Expense runs on infrastructure we already pay for, and it exists because we needed it ourselves. If that ever changes we will say so here well before it affects anyone.
- Do I need a Google account?
- Yes. Google sign-in is the only way in, which means there is no password for us to store or for you to lose. Any Google account works, including a Workspace one.
- Can more than one person use the same books?
- Yes. Invite anyone by their email address; they join the moment they sign in with Google. Admins can manage the organisation and its people, members can record and read entries.
- Where is my data stored?
- On Cloudflare, with each organisation in its own isolated database. Bills are stored as files alongside, readable only by members of that organisation while signed in.
- Can I get my data out?
- Any filtered view of your entries exports to CSV, including the party, category, tag and status names rather than internal ids. Nothing is locked in.
- What happens if I delete my account?
- Organisations you are the only administrator of are destroyed along with their entries and bills. Organisations with another administrator are handed over to them instead, so a colleague does not lose their books because you left.
